Finished miniature Matryoshka doll charms made from polymer clay

Materials and tools

  • A small face cane
  • Several very small decorative canes
  • Scrap clay, brightly colored clay
  • Eye pins or bent wire
  • Needle tool and the usual blades and tiles

Technique overview

There’s a lot of face cane tutorials out there so I don’t need to put out another one. Form a compact doll body from scrap clay and cover with a bright ‘dress’ color. Add a slice of face cane and cut out the teeny scarf, then decorate with little decorative floral and dotted clay canes. Attach an eye pin before curing if the doll will become a charm, then cure and have your own Lilliputian community.
